BPEG
I Started going to Events just after PES4 was released. My first event was the BPEG (Birmingham Pro Evolution Guild), which was a group that was formed from the Konami PES National League. Birmingham’s finest would meet monthly and slug it out to be crowned the best in Birmingham. My first BPEG was a nervy one back in January 2005, an unknown quantity stepping into the frame, but I also proved a dangerous one, as I became the champion that day.
From that day I never looked back, and went onto win many more PES tournaments, eventually becoming the most prolific BPEG champion, winning the most titles and becoming 8 time champion, and also the only 3 times consecutive champion.
Sadly in August 2008 BPEG was disbanded. The creator of the guild, Matt Barr after his many years of giving and hard work to the PES community decided to call it a day. Thanks to Matt Barr, Chris Stokes (Makenshi), and Mark Farrington (Farrmark) for organizing such great events. Click Here for a list of the BPEG Roll of Honour, all the winners of BPEG tournaments.

Latest PES Video from this years installation of PES. Hasnt been the best year for PES with Fifa’s 09 actually being the better game, but that didn’t stop us from scoring some great goals. My team of PES2009 was Juve. Del Piero & Trezeguet up front were unstoppable. They also suited my 3-5-2 formation perfectly with strong centre backs, a good selection of wingbacks and Sissoko/Nedved as holding Midfielders. Giovinco was decent as the attacking midfielder, and will be even better in PES2010. Oh and how can I forget Buffon, still the best keeper on PES by far!
Formation is below the video. Enjoy

Front Row is a brilliant MediaCentre application that comes with the Leopard OS. The interface allows you to easily access all your media on your mac, and is similar to the apple TV interface.
Now many people have their Macs hooked up to an external display, maybe their Plasma or LCD TV. In order to display Front Row on this external display, it was a long process of going into the display preferences and changing it to the default display…
…Not anymore! After a bit of a search, I found this brilliant application called TV Row, which will automatically show Front Row on the 2nd monitor every-time it is launched.
This has actually saved me some money, as now I no longer need an appleTV or separate media player.
TV Row was created by Hendricus Robijn and is free to download, but please conisder making a small donation.
Microsoft really seem to be turning the marketing and advertising notch to full tilt at the moment. Today I was just walking to my local apple store at the birmingham bullring shopping centre. And to my surprise Microsoft have setup a whopping great big display pitch right outside the apple store. Apparantly they were looking to film people to be a part of the “I’m a pc compaign”, which I replied no thanks.
Seems like microsoft are getting pretty aggressive with this campaign. Is it a sign of how worried microsoft are getting? Just seems a little desperate to me.
But also with the launch of the G1 google phone today in the UK, it seems that apple are going to be attacked from all angles. The competition is off the ropes and starting to fight back, which will only benefit us the consumer.

I’m beginning to see this type of advertising more and more around the Internet. There nearly as bad as the pop-ups that used to plague us all on the net some years ago.
So imagine to my horror when I noticed this feature was automatically enabled for my wordpress blog! I find it really intrusive and ultimately it spoils the browsing experience for the visitor to your site….
But fear not! Even though this is enabled by default on blogs it can be turned off:
Disable On Your own WordPress blog
Log into your Blog, go to Manage>Design>Extras & untick Enable Snap Shots on this blog
Disable on another site / WordPress blog
Either Right click on the snap preview and select the deactivate option
OR
Complain to the website/Blogger to remove the feature!
Phew!
